Our fees are based on the complexity of your tax return, the amount of additional research required, conference hours, and the number of documents we need to review. We do not charge based on the size of your refund; instead, our fees reflect the amount of work we perform on your behalf.

What tax forms do I need to provide?

Please provide all year-end tax-related documents you receive. Here are some common forms:

Form W-2, Wage and Tax Statement

Form 1099 (various types including 1099-DIV, 1099-G, 1099-INT, 1099-K, 1099-MISC, 1099-NEC, 1099-R)

Form 1098-E, Student Loan Interest Statement

Form 1098-T, Tuition Statement

What other information will you need from me to file my taxes?

We will need the following:

Identification information for you, your spouse, and dependents (Social Security or ITINs, dates of birth)

Supporting documents for the Child Tax Credit and Credit for Other Dependents

Proof of residency and relationship to dependents

Proof of support, especially for dependents who are disabled or students

A copy of your most recent tax return

Income statements and tax forms (W-2s, 1099s, etc.)

Proof of expenses if itemizing deductions

Social Security numbers of everyone listed on the return

Bank account and routing numbers for direct deposit

Records of virtual currency transactions

Letters 6419 and 6475 for child tax credit and economic impact payment reconciliation

Can I call you throughout the year for tax advice? Are you open year-round?

We are open year-round, January to December. However, from May - December you will need to email us and if a call is needed, we will follow up with you. We are closed on Sundays and national holidays.

If someone from the state or IRS contacts me regarding my return, will you assist me?

Yes, inform us of any correspondents received as soon as you receive them. We will do our best to explain any credits and deductions on your return to you and provide audit protection for federal audits. For state audits, we will provide documentation provided to us by you and relevant excerpts from the IRS to assist with these audits.

Will you provide me with a copy of my completed tax return and return any original documents I provided?

Yes, we will provide a digital copy of your completed tax return and any original documents you provided. We retain digital copies of documents for up to three years.
